We added tapered minimalist legs in contrast to the live edge and butterfly detail to the top. Finished with a wire brush and our secret ingredient revealing the unique wood grain. It’s all in the details. Full dimensions; 112” long x 18” to 12” deep x 18” high. This bench was hand made in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. A beauty of things unconventional. It is the opposite of vulgarity. The costs of achieving this kind of minimalism are seemingly inconsistent with its mission of aesthetic humility.
