1980's fine Shiwan figure of an elderly white haired man perched on a rock with his wicker hat and drinking cup - probably after a day of work in the fields. He wears a kind expression and a beautiful cape with various gorgeous shades of blue and brown - see back photo.
Part glazed and part unglazed bisque.
Made in Shiwan, China, these figures are hand carved and painted. Shiwan is famous for it's pottery. The hand made and detailed figures or statues are used as garden or planter ornaments - or they can be used inside.
