This charming antique toleware box features a rich red salmon ground accented with gold decoration and a classic hinged lid. Measuring approximately 6 3/4” wide x 4 1/2” deep x 1 1/4” high, it is a lovely size for display or use as a trinket box. The back is marked “Made in France.”
The box is in good age-appropriate condition, showing expected wear consistent with its age, which only adds to its character and authenticity. Many examples like this were produced for department stores in the late 19th to early 20th century, making it a wonderful decorative accessory with historical appeal.
