These glass are attributed to Iittala Tapio glassware, a classic mid-century modern design by the acclaimed Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala. This iconic series has been in continuous production for longer than any other Finnish glass collection. Each glass is hand blown and features a single, suspended air bubble in the thick stem, a trademark of Wirkkala's innovative "stick blowing" method.

These glasses were first introduced in 1952 and received the prestigious Grand Prix Awards at the Milan Triennale in 1954.
