Provenance & Design: This elegant armchair is a confirmed authentic piece by the esteemed American of Martinsville, as evidenced by the original manufacturer’s labels. The chair features the original, high-quality "Hand Crafted Custom Upholstery" in a distinctive vintage patterned fabric officially titled "Thistle".
The silhouette is a classic Neoclassical design, characterized by elegant scrolled arms and distinctive fluted front legs. Originally sold through Karrington of Carmel, this piece represents the high-end boutique furniture production of the late 20th century.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition. The chair is structurally very sound and retains its original comfort. In keeping with its age and history, there is visible wear and finish loss on the wooden arms and minor chipping on the legs. The "Thistle" fabric is in good overall shape with no major tears. These cosmetic imperfections provide a wonderful vintage patina or make the chair a perfect candidate for a minor wood touch-up to suit your decor.
