A large, decorative ceramic saltshaker by Redwing Pottery in the shape of an hourglass with a hand painted in a design of a baby quail in the grass.
The molded ceramic has a myriad of holes in the top for shaking salt out. The base has a hole where a cork would have been. The glaze is shiny, soft, and has a brown speckle. The design has touches of turquoise to give it a modernist vibe. The base and foot are glazed. It does not have a hallmark or labels.

MEASUREMENTS
2 ¼ in (5.7 cm) diameter x 6 in (15.2 cm) tall. Weighs 6.2 oz.
CONDITION
The edge of the fill opening in the base is a little rough, but this appears to be from manufacture. Otherwise, there are no breaks, chips, cracks, wear or repairs. It looks like it was never used. It is missing the stopper in the base.
