Opening its doors in 1863, the Grand Hotel et de Milan is located in the heart of one of the most exciting cities in the world. Based on its proximity to La Scala Opera House, composter, Giuseppe Verdi resided in one of the hotel's finest suites to work on Othello and Falstaff. When Milan began hosting annual fashion weeks in the 1960s and 1970s, the Hotel became a popular destination with the fashion elite. Famous guests have included Ernest Hemingway, Richard Burton, and Maria Callas.
