The cup’s rounded bowl with loop handle and the matching saucer follow established Chinese tea service forms adapted for late 20th-century production. Guangcai decoration, historically linked to Canton enameling, was revived in Jingdezhen for domestic and export wares emphasizing symbolic imagery and balanced color fields.

The Eight Treasures represent auspicious associations with prosperity, harmony, and longevity, presented here within reserve panels and border bands. Marked to the base, the set was produced as part of a coordinated tea service rather than as a standalone decorative object.
