This unique Icelandic lava vase from the 1970s exemplifies the bold brutalist style for which Glit HF became renowned. Crafted from pumice clay and genuine volcanic lava, the piece boasts a rugged texture and striking glaze, blending vibrant turquoise, earthy brown, and glossy green. A rare example of mid-century modern ceramics, this vase was handmade in the only Icelandic studio of its era, founded by Ragnar Kjartansson, Einar Eliasson, and Pétur Saemundsen.
