The rounded form with a short neck feels beautifully balanced and sits comfortably in the hand.

Dimensions: height 9.5 cm, diameter 9 cm.

The decoration consists of stylised maple leaves (momiji), rendered in soft gold tones and earthy hues. Applied asymmetrically, the motif follows the curve of the vase, creating a slightly different composition from every angle. The gold-toned details add a subtle glow, bringing the surface to life without overpowering it.

A stamped maker’s mark is present on the base. The vase comes with its original protective packaging and accompanying leaflet, which names the maker, Iwakura Reihō, and situates the piece within the modern Kutani tradition.

The vase is in perfect condition, with no cracks, chips, or restorations.

A small yet characterful object that works beautifully as a stand-alone piece—whether with a single branch or flower—or as a subtle Japanese accent in a wabi-sabi, minimalist, or eclectic interior. See less
