An epns vase in the understated manner of danish art nouveau, with a stepped/ribbed neck and a body decorated with a repeating abstract floral/berry design in repoussé against a hammered ground. Its original cut glass liner features another understated design of splayed lines leading up to a crenelated cut rim. The vase was made by danish silversmith, carl m. Cohr in the 1920s or thereabouts.
the base is hallmarked with the cmc monogram, the ‘da’ hammer symbol for landsforeningen dansk arbejde, and the two tower stamp to denote danish silverplate – discontinued in the 1930s. This piece has an attribution mark,
