An example of functional Spanish … Read more Floor lamp designed by Enrique Franch for the Spanish lighting company Metalarte in the 1970s. An example of functional Spanish design, it features a sturdy tubular chrome stem anchored by a compact circular base finished in black. The defining feature of the lamp is its highly adjustable head. Using the distinctive black handle on the stem, the black dome shade can be slid up and down the pole and rotated to direct light exactly where needed, making it an ideal reading lamp next to a lounge chair or sofa. The shade includes a small circular vent on top, adding a subtle detail to the minimalist form.

Condition Report: The lamp is in good vintage condition. Restoration: The shade and the base have been professionally repainted in black to refresh the finish. Wear: The chrome stem is in good condition. The inside of the shade (the reflector) retains its original finish and shows visible signs of wear, oxidation, and patina consistent with age and heat. The exterior of the shade shows a few small pits/imperfections beneath the new paint. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
