It is, of course, inconceivable to deceive and harm a small bird; we would be heartbroken… Therefore, we envision reviving this 1920s lark mirror as a poetic decorative object. Its incredible patina and mirrored facets make it an intriguing and touching piece! An unusual piece of folk art, we imagine it in a collection of curiosities, far, far removed from its original purpose!
The lark mirror is very old, dating from the 1920s. It is made of fruitwood and brass and has a multitude of mirrored facets, some of which are missing. It is in good condition and has a removable stand. A mechanical lark mirror, the wire mechanism is missing. It has a few discreet wormholes; the wood has been treated. It is a beautiful, authentic piece of folk art.
