The name says it all: faux bamboo. This method of making furniture and products was incredibly popular around 1900. Bamboo was, of course, an unknown product at the time, and didn't exist in Europe. That's why furniture makers copied it. This stool was probably originally a children's chair with a backrest, which was later modified. We cleaned this stool and gave it a coat of wax. It's perfect as a side table or plant stand. See less
