This striking oversized Kars kilim is a masterful example of Eastern Anatolian tribal weaving, showcasing bold geometry, saturated natural dyes, and symbolic storytelling. Handwoven in the mid-20th century, the kilim features a rare dual-panel composition, each filled with rhythmic rows of stylized diamond, cross, and abstract motifs. The vibrant palette—crimson red, saffron yellow, pistachio green, and soft pink—contrasts beautifully with deep black and ivory accents, creating a dynamic visual harmony.
The word “ZEXI” woven into the top corner adds a personal touch, possibly referencing the weaver’s name or a regional expression. Framed by zigzag and triangle borders, this kilim carries the spirit of nomadic craftsmanship and Anatolian heritage.
Perfect as a statement wall hanging, floor covering, or gallery piece, it has been professionally cleaned and preserved in excellent vintage condition. A true collector’s item for lovers of tribal textiles and bold design.
