Rare ancient design, unique find.
this issn antique Indonesian hand made copper batik textile stamp, known as a Tjap. These stamps are traditionally used in the Indonesian batik process, to dip in molten wax and press on to the fabric, creating a resist pattern before dying.
Tjap was purchased while in China 1980's and stored away. As seen here this stamp is old, but still sturdy enough to use today, imperfections and all.
Can be used for decor, or gift for that textile collector.
Small dents can be shifted back into place with a strong metal jewelry tool or like object as long as it's done with care. Pictures do show each and every angle for you, no hidden damages. As is.
