A very large, elliptical serving bowl by the Red Wing company that has a design of a quail mother with her two chicks. I love the floating seed heads and moving grasses.
A molded ceramic bowl has been glazed in a light beige glaze with brown speckles. The bowl shape is elliptical and not perfectly round. It has a modernist aesthetic. The decoration in blue and brown is of a mother quail with her two chicks. Grasses and seed heads finish the design.
The base and foot are glazed. A red stamped mark in on the base reads REDWING HANDPAINTED USA. Incorporated into a red wing.

MEASUREMENTS
12 in (30.5 cm) long x 11 ½ in (29.2 cm) wide x 5 in (12.7 cm) tall. Weighs 3 lbs 15.4 oz.
CONDITION
There are no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs. The glazes are clean and not worn. It looks like it was never used.
A large dramatic piece for a mid-century home décor.
