Large antique giltwood wall mirror featuring an ornate foliate and scrollwork frame with classical corner flourishes. The frame is constructed with traditional wooden joinery and pegged construction, consistent with late 19th-century craftsmanship. Original gilt surface with warm patina, visible age wear, and scattered losses to the gesso and gilding, adding authentic character.
The mirror retains its original glass, showing light age spotting and minor imperfections consistent with its age. Back is finished with period paper backing and later hanging wire. Structurally sound and ready to hang.
A striking decorative statement piece suitable for entryways, living spaces, or above a mantel.
