An early 20th Century store front sign for a store named Adam's, who participated in the International Grocers Alliance (IGA) . What is the IGA? It was an alliance that started in 1926 when J. Frank Grimes united independent U.S. grocers to fight big chains (like A&P) by pooling buying power for better prices and shared marketing, growing into the world's largest voluntary supermarket network, known for empowering local owners with branding and supply chain support, now operating globally.
This is a simple antique-white beveled metal sign with black lettering and a green back. A piece of food history.
