The mirror, rectangular in form, is set within a richly carved and water-gilded frame, surmounted by an elaborate crest of scrolling foliage, floral ornament, and classical detailing. The carving is crisp and deeply modeled, enhanced by a beautifully gilt surface.
The console table is raised on a striking and masterfully executed sculptural base. Two finely modeled reclining puttiform the foundation, their expressive poses and naturalistic anatomy demonstrating remarkable artistic quality. Above them rises an openwork structure of intertwined grapevines and leaves, symbolizing abundance and classical mythology.
