Chinese DeHua porcelain Kuan Yin seated on a rocky outcrop amid roiling ocean waves and water lilies, with her right … Read more Chinese DeHua porcelain Kuan Yin seated on a rocky outcrop amid roiling ocean waves and water lilies, with her right foot resting on an ocean carp transfiguring into a dragon, the ocean carp's body formed of octopus suckers. Kuan Yin's right and left hand are in Karana mudra, she is clothed in a flowing robe with a necklace and the crown of Amitabha, with arm and wrist bracelets and a coiffure of ornaments and long coiled braids, her left foot above a water lily bud and blossom. Exquisite fine realistic detail through out, down to Kuan Yin's fingernails. A He Chaozong and DeHua mark are impressed on her upper back with two red iron Chinese characters below. Circa late 19th century, no later than early 20th. See less
