Drusy was a “stylist modeliste” who … Read more This is an original watercolor 1980s fashion design from a French designer, Drusy Passerini. Drusy was a “stylist modeliste” who designed for sportswear couturieres in Paris in the early 1980’s. Her designs were signed, named or numbered and all Drusy designs were registered in Parisian fashion registries. Often there were notations specifying details. The sportswear designs were created and sold at the time in the fashion district in Paris in such houses as Patrick Viane or Saint-Clair. This design, entitled "Belle", was for a dress with what was called a "bed jacket" bordered in silk. There is detailing in the ruffled collars and the ribbed cuffs and sash. Note too the shoulder designs! Perfect for today's fashionista... stylish and chic. Done in wonderful salmon hues . Clean, pristine condition. 8 x 10.5 inches in size. Note that the painting is done in watercolor on fine paper and is affixed with corner staples to a second sheet of the same paper. The drawing comes in a white 16 x 20 inch custom mat ready for a standard size frame. See less
