They are made from mahogany with a lovely wood grain and upholstered in a textured cotton fabric (refer to picture 15). This model is still in production and retails for $3,057 for the armchair and $2,877 for the side chair when purchased directly from Theodore Alexander. The fabric on these chairs was probably a custom order, the standard covering being a plain polyester fabric, and feels wonderful to the touch.

As vintage chairs, they are not in perfect condition, and there are some defects that I want to point out. The legs on some of the chairs have signs of wear. One of the armchairs has a small area of damage (refer to picture 9). The circular medallion on one of the side chairs has a bit of damage (refer to picture 14). The upholstery is in remarkably good condition with no stains to note. Both the back cushion and the seat cushion are filled with a small percentage of feathers and down (refer to picture 18 for the exact fiber content). All eight of these chairs are incredibly sturdy and comfortable, and they are quite heavy.

I photographed these chairs outside on a sunny December day. I've included four views of the armchairs and four views of three of the side chairs. Pictures 16 and 17 are two views of the remaining side chairs, but I didn't have enough room to include all four views. If you would like to see the remaining two views of these side chairs, just let me know. The color of the mahogany wood will invariably look different in an interior setting under artificial light. Please take this into consideration when matching colors.
