A regal set of nine signed color lithographs, featuring 18th and 19th-century military uniforms from various European countries. Realized by the renowned German graphic artist and painter Wolfgang Tritt (1913-1983), these are from his extensive watercolor studies, which were based on research in military museums across Europe.
Each piece depicts a historical officer in full military dress uniform, many of whom are cavalry officers on horseback, rendered with Tritt's characteristic liveliness and attention to detail. This collection offers a striking visual narrative of historical military regalia.
The set is uniformly presented in elegant, matching giltwood frames with blue matting. The frames add a touch of sophistication and grandeur, which is characteristic of the 18th century.
These would make a stunning addition to a gallery wall and can be arranged in many variations.
