A finely detailed antique porcelain shaving mug featuring raised floral relief decoration accented with deep cobalt blue and gilt highlights. The exterior is richly modeled with dimensional blossoms and foliate motifs, while the interior retains its original horizontal shaving bar, designed to rest a shaving brush during use.
The mug is finished with an elegant molded handle and a softly scalloped rim with hand-applied gold detailing. The base is unmarked, consistent with many late 19th to early 20th century shaving mugs produced for the gentleman’s toiletry market.
