The back of the frame is a later addition. Two fenghuangs are shown perched on a branch of a flowering, peony bush amid bamboo, rocks and other flowering plants. A large, oval seal mark in red, Zhuanshu script characters is glazed to the upper right. Circa early Republic of China era.
