Chinese porcelain huaniao plaque, a finely painted, Qianjiang style, bird and flower plaque in polychrome glazes mounted in the original, finely carved, traditional, Chinese frame with original Chinese bronze hanger. The back of the frame is a later addition. Two fenghuangs are shown perched on a branch of a flowering, peony bush amid bamboo, rocks and other flowering plants. A large, oval seal mark in red, Zhuanshu script characters is glazed to the upper right. Circa early Republic of China era.
