Each plaque is signed, with a short inscription in caoshu script and a small seal mark. The two plaques are mounted in matching, original, Chinese, hongmu frames with original bronze hangers and a finely carved, and reticulated, ovoid cartouche of a Fu Bat above peaches and a lucky coin amid stylized vines at the top and bottom of the frame. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century.
