Pair mid century Italian Macassar ebony & marble break front design bedside cabinets. Circa 1950.
The cabinets are in excellent condition, and have been re-finished by hand, still retaining light authentic marks to highlight their genuine heritage.
The drop in marble tops are a wonderful reddish-salmon pink with white and darker veining. Possibly Rosso Alicante or similar. They have a honed matte finish and are also in excellent condition, with no damage on show.
Veneered in Macassar ebony, the cabinets are sturdy with no loose joints and free from any woodworm. Please note, on construction one of the tables has been made with a slightly higher side to the top of the open space. Please refer to photographs number 11, 12 and 13.
The drawers and cupboard doors all work very well.
