Hand-carved from a single solid wood panel with layered red pigment and gilt highlights. The flat reverse and construction indicate this piece originally functioned as an architectural or furniture inset panel, likely removed from a larger structure such as a screen, cabinet, or wall paneling.

The panel shows rough and uneven edges consistent with architectural removal rather than later damage. Surface wear, pigment loss, and patina are consistent with age and original use. A hanger has been added for wall display.
