Often referred to as a "Sac à Perles" (bag of pearls) or basket chandelier, it features a large, continuous "bag" of faceted crystal octagons that conceal the internal light source, creating a glittering, diffused light. The structure is defined by a wide, ornate brass band featuring high-relief casting of floral garlands, ribbons, and classical motifs typical of the Empire period. Above this band, a "tent" of crystal strands rises to a decorative brass crown and canopy. Inside, the fixture holds multiple light points to illuminate the crystals from within. with a fixture height of 105 cm and a diameter of 55 cm (plus an additional 95 cm chain), this is a substantial statement piece ideal for a high-ceilinged entryway, ballroom, or dining room. Condition Report: The chandelier is in good vintage condition. The brass frame shows a natural, warm patina consistent with age. The crystal strands appear generally intact, though as with any vintage crystal piece, there may be minor "fleabites" or small missing pins that do not detract from the overall appearance.
