The cherry primary wood with white pine secondary wood is a classic New England combo as are the exposed dovetail drawer blades, visible on the sides, which add a distinct character to New England chests. With the back feet cut from one board, it's probable this chest came from the Connecticut River Valley as that technique was primarily done there.
