Bunka—developed in Japan in the 1950s—uses rayon thread and punch-embroidery techniques to create painterly depth and lifelike texture. This piece, completed circa 1960–1970, reflects the classic style: richly layered plumage, soft tonal shading, and a scene inspired by traditional Japanese naturalism. It was later professionally framed in New Bern, North Carolina, preserving the artwork behind a clean paper backing with original framer’s label. Sized 30.5x24x1", it presents beautifully as statement wall décor in Asian-inspired, rustic, eclectic, or refined vintage interiors. See less
