Absolutely no problems at all, this basket is perfect. Measures 6 3/4"long, 11"wide, sits 6"high. Fine tightly woven white oak. Baskets start with a live tree, singled out for not having lower limbs. The parts of the basket are made from the trunk, and only then can it be processed into the final elements of a basket. Along with Estel Youngblood, she was instrumental in reviving the art of white oak basketry in the 1970s and 80s, at which point the baskets were primarily viewed as art rather than purely functional items. Her work, and that of her husband Estel, is represented in the Smithsonian Institution. These do not come up for sale very often. See less
