"Jeffery's Toy's" Original Watercolor Painting c.1970s

The watercolor measures 17" wide x 15" high

The simple frame measures 19" wide x 16" high

Richard Whalen was an American painter, sculptor and Flamenco aficionado, opening Los Flamencos de la Bodega, in the music room of the Old Spaghetti Factory on Pearl Harbor Day in 1958.

Jeffery Chinn was a musician and classical guitarist in San Francisco and was life-long friends with the artist. The title of the painting "Jeffery's Toys", is a play on the oldest toy store in San Francisco, "Jeffery's Toys". The Jeffery in our painting is Jeffery Chinn, his toy's are a surreal collection of animal friends, and is that Olive Oil? Perhaps a surreal still life scene from artifacts found in Jeffery's San Francisco home.
