Blown glass, with a gradient from intense red to peach/amber at the top to amber/gold at the bottom. The mouth has a wavy, almost petal-like profile, typical of hand-shaped glasswork during the glassblowing process. The surface features applications of small, raised "drops," with hints of green, reminiscent of the Venetian technique of hot-applied glass.
It is a decorative, non-industrial object, and is truly artistic glass.
Period: 1960–1975: The red-amber color palette, the "green drops," and the organic shape are very typical of the golden age of Venetian artistic glassmaking after World War II, particularly the submerged and hot-applied style.
