A pair of Art Nouveau-style majolica vases with polychrome glazes, creating a dripping and iridescent effect.
They were produced by the Julius Dressler Manufactory in the town of Biela, Bohemia, in the early 20th century (probably around 1920).
Their design is strongly influenced by the Art Nouveau and Secessionist movements, with relief decorations reminiscent of stylized plant motifs and organic shapes. There are also side openings at the bottom.
The mark, visible under the base of each vase, includes a tower with the initials "JDB" (for Julius Dressler Biela) and the word "Austria".
Condition: One vase has two chips and wear to the polychrome; the other has some chips and small glaze gaps (see detailed photos).
Dimensions: height 43 cm, diameter 25 cm
Weight: 4,608 g and 4,057 g
