The exhibition Levels of Attachment and Belonging consists of a series of ceramic vases pressed, squeezed, and shaped by moldings, edges, corners, and furniture. They are defined by the architecture and interior of the gallery, and relate to their surroundings in different ways. Sometimes this is revealed through subtle traces, while others seem brutally forced into the various spaces of the gallery. Where some have retained their potential as a functional vase, others remain as useless, squashed objects where the characteristics of the vase have been almost erased. See less
