Le Tallec Private Stock Cachepot Burgundy Gold Swan Pattern Porcelain Planter Made in France Neoclassical Style
This Le Tallec Private Stock porcelain cachepot is finished in a rich burgundy glaze and decorated in the Neoclassical style, featuring a finely gilded repeating swan motif with outstretched wings, accented by classical swags, ribbons, and wreaths. In Neoclassical design, the swan is a traditional symbol of grace, purity, and refinement, lending the piece both decorative beauty and symbolism.
The underside is clearly marked in iron-red pigment in French script:
“Dessiné et peint entièrement à la main pour Le Tallec à Paris, France.”
Le Tallec was a prestigious Parisian porcelain atelier renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship. Founded in 1928 by Camille Le Tallec, a graduate of the École du Louvre, the workshop quickly gained international recognition for its hand-painted porcelain. In 1991, Atelier Le Tallec was acquired by Tiffany & Co.
This piece is a wonderful addition to a fine porcelain collection or an elegant gift for a plant or porcelain enthusiast. It is in very good condition, as shown, and will be shipped fully insured with tracking.
The cachepot measures approximately 7 7/8 inches wide at the handles, 5 3/4 inches tall, and 6 inches in outer diameter. The unpacked weight is 1 pound, 15.3 ounces.
