It has also retained an exceptional colour and patina and boasts incredible elegance. with its top on with the polished side up it actually serves the purpose of a centre table extremely well.

However, the fun of course begins, once you either flip the top over to reveal the baized card playing surface, or remove it altogether, exposing the lovely backgammon board contained within. There is also a removable chess board, which is finished to the other side with an international draughts board.

The table has also been well thought out in terms of its design, boasting a couple of pull out slides to each end, probably designed for counter storage, but also perfect for a gin and tonic, and it stands on very elegant cabriole legs, which terminate on fabulous trefoil design feet, adding to the overall elegance of the piece.

As with all items we offer for sale this 18th century games table has been inspected and attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled, specialist trained, antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish before being offered to ensure that it is in excellent condition and ready for immediate placement within the home.
