Complete, unused Japanese ceramic set consisting of two sake bottles (tokkuri) with matching holders, five small sake cups (ochoko), five … Read more Complete, unused Japanese ceramic set consisting of two sake bottles (tokkuri) with matching holders, five small sake cups (ochoko), five bowls for food, a round hot pot (donabe) and five chopstick rests (hashioki) in the shape of small mushrooms.

The set is complete, unused and in excellent condition.

Dimensions donabe: height 14 cm, diameter 25 cm.

Dimensions bowls: height 4 cm, diameter 11 cm.

The donabe and sake pieces are finished in a beautiful grey-white crackle glaze, with the surface finely veined by dark lines. Towards the base the glaze fades into a warm brown and caramel tone. The bowls share the same crackle glaze on top, with a brown glazed accent along the rim that reads almost like a small handle. The mushroom-shaped hashioki are playful and organic: white stems with subtle crackle, caps in glossy brown with darker spots, perfect for resting chopsticks during a meal. See less
