1969 John William Guerin (1920-2016, TX) “Cypriot” Framed Original Oil on Paper
Fantastic condition with no damage to the print. Original oil on paper, signed in pencil by the artist at the lower center-right. Created in 1969. Presented under glass in a wooden gold-gilt frame. Original gallery provenance label affixed to the reverse.

John William Guerin (1920–2006)
John Guerin is best known for his abstract landscapes. Both a painter and educator, he taught at the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts from 1950 to 1952 and later at the University of Texas at Austin from 1953 to 1970. Guerin studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, the Art Students League in New York, the Escuela de Bellas Artes in San Miguel, Mexico, and the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center.
