Chinese framed porcelain Buddhist temple plaque, a finely drawn and detailed depiction of a seated Kuan Yin in padmasana wearing the Crown of Amitabha, with an ornate halo and mandorla, amidst heavenly clouds and flames. Both of her hands are in Bodhyagri Mudra, The Wisdom Fist of Vairocana. Auspicious Buddhist symbols, supported by clouds, are below her throne. All the artwork is done in fine, gilt, line drawing on a black, glazed background. The signature of the artist, "Minister Ding Guanpeng, respectfully, painting", with two small seal marks, is found at the lower left of the image. The plaque is mounted in its original, finely carved, Chinese, heavy, huali mu frame with a bronze hanger. The back is intact and removable. Circa Republic of China era or earlier.
