A dramatic pair of antique French Baroque Revival wall sconces, dating to the late 19th–early 20th century. Each substantial three-light sconce features finely modeled bearded male masks with expressive faces, scrolling acanthus arms, and a central shield-form cartouche, all cast in gilt metal with exceptional depth and detail.
The sculptural quality and weight of these fixtures ( 16 pounds each) suggest their original use in a grand interior—possibly a formal residence, hotel, or theatrical space. The surfaces retain an authentic aged patina with areas of gilding wear, enhancing their character and historical presence.
Each sconce holds three candle-style lights. The fixtures show evidence of early electrical conversion and later rewiring; professional inspection is recommended prior to installation.
