A "Caramba" blue glass bowl designed by Swedish artist Ulrica Hydman (1938-2018) for Swedish glass company Kosta Boda. Two animals and abstract designs are hand-painted in black to the exterior of the bowl. The piece is marked with a Kosta Boda sticker, marked "Ulrica HV" to the painted design, and marked “Kosta Boda Ulrica HV” to the underside.
Ulrica Hydman Vallien specialized in stained glass and spent some time working for Kosta Boda. She was one of only 50 artists to be selected in designing pieces for British Airways. Today, her work in found in museums worldwide, including the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Detroit Institute of Art, and more.
