Exceptional early 20th century American demilune cabinets produced by Big Rapids Furniture Co. of Michigan, a respected manufacturer within the historic Grand Rapids furniture tradition. This matching pair features curved mahogany veneer fronts, carved classical detailing, original hardware, and solid hardwood construction throughout. Pieces like these were designed as high quality accent cabinets, bedside nightstands, or refined side cabinets for formal interiors and are often sought by designers restoring traditional, european inspired, or old world homes.

These were purchased for their Baker tyle appeal and strong architectural presence. The proportions, curved casework, and rich mahogany tones align beautifully with classic English, traditional American, and collected interiors. They are authentic antiques with excellent bones and original construction, however they are heavily distressed from age and use and will require restoration or conservation. Visible wear includes surface scratches, finish loss, interior wear, and areas of structural aging consistent with early 1900s furniture. No MDF or modern materials. These are solid, weighty, well made pieces intended for restoration rather than casual use.

Estimated circa 1920s to 1930s based on solid wood drawer construction, dovetail joinery, secondary wood usage typical of the period, hand stamped production numbers, original maker’s badge, and overall form consistent with pre war American furniture.
