An elegant antique English biscuit barrel, dating to the late 19th / early 20th century, crafted from solid oak and finished with EPNS (Electroplated Nickel Silver) fittings. The form is classic of the Victorian–Edwardian transition period, with softly rounded proportions and refined metal detailing.
The barrel retains its original patina throughout, with no over-polishing to the EPNS mounts. The subtle variation in tone to the metal and the warm glow of the oak contribute to its authenticity and visual depth.
The original swing handle remains intact and functional, showing minor unevenness consistent with age and hand fabrication. Interior is clean and suitable for decorative or light functional use.
A timeless English decorative object—ideal for kitchens, bars, studies, or styled shelving.
