This stunning and elegant plinth is in the style of, and actually may be the product of, Grosfeld House- where legendary designer Lorin Jackson got her start in America, circa 1945. Resembles Nero Marquina marble with a veneer over a likely wood base. The plinth features stylized scroll motifs at the top and bottom while the column asymmetrically echoes the details of a neoclassical ionic fluted column. This piece represents the sublime fusion of classicism and modernism. Consequently, it would be a stunning addition to any style of interior from Art Deco to contemporary.
