A vintage First Edition period offset lithograph, print, after still life "Christmas Roses and Oysters" (Roses De Noël et Huîtres, 1940) by Henri Matisse. Comes from a First Limited Edition art folio, published by Editions Du Chene in Paris, France in 1946. Edition N282. Printed on one side. Hand tipped-in on a board of heavy paper. Information regarding the original artwork, in French, will be found by lifting the plate. Numbered "III" at the lower right corner of the board. Fair condition of the print - some age wear, creases and some foxing on the back of the print; the board has a rip, and shows some age and edge wear (please view the images). When this print is matted or/and framed, all the imperfections won't be visible; never framed.
