The tables are unmarked but look to be styled after the famous cork and walnut models that Paul T. Frankl designed for Johnson Furniture Company.

These Frankl-inspired side tables have sleek minimalistic rectangular cases that have been painted in an earthy cork-like beige tone. Each table has two flush dovetail jointed drawers painted in a contrasting dark brown with wooden ball knobs painted the same beige as the case. Each case stands on four wooden legs with a straight front stretcher, painted the same dark brown as the drawer fronts.

The mid-century era tables are in fair vintage condition. The tables themselves are heavy and sturdy, and the drawers glide smoothly. There is some wood loss on the cases and drawers, especially on the corners and edges. The painted finish is flawed, showing areas of overspray and drips, as well as scratches and other signs of wear. If you don’t like the distressed look, the tables could benefit from being repainted.

Each table measures 24” wide, 15.5” deep, and 23” tall. The drawers are about 4” deep. See less
