This pair of French 'tables de chevet' was created in the early years of the 20th century, at a time when the country revised the Rococo style that marked the reign of King Louis XV as a means of reviving national pride and heritage. Each of these exquisite end tables features a meandering tray top framed by a two-room gallery. The tables are adorned with a fine tongue and groove drawer. They also have a low open shelf, raised on four tall and slender cabriole legs, typical of the Louis XV period. The set is delicate and elegant, with a beautiful patina and lines that will add a touch of sophistication to any room, especially a bedroom where they can be used to anchor a bed.
